Who will benefit?

Anyone who is interested in entering the Renewables or Heat pump market and would like to take the first formal steps . This training course provides an overview of all the renewable technologies on the market at present and is the mandatory unit for the City & Guilds 2399 qualification across all technologies including heat pumps. This is the first step in gaining MCS accreditation.  This core unit is common to all the renewable technologies and will have to be achieved prior to entry to the Heat Pump Installation course.

What will be gained?

Sufficient skills, knowledge and techniques to:

  • be aware of the range of renewable energy technologies.
  • describe the regulatory requirements for installing renewable technologies including heat pumps.
  • know the fundamental working principles of micro-renewable energy, heat pumps and water conservation technologies
  • appreciate the typical advantages and disadvantages associated with micro-renewable energy, heat pump installation and water conservation technologies.
