Who will benefit?

Anyone who is interested in installing the collector and emitter components of either ground source or air source heat pump systems. This course can lead to accreditation by the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) and as such means that customers will be eligible for RHI funding. The course is aimed at experienced and qualified heating and plumbing engineers who have already gained the core 201.

What will be gained?

Sufficient skills, knowledge and techniques to:

  • install the packaged heatpump systems including the emitter and collector circuits
  • demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of heatpump systems.
  • appreciate the range of renewable energy technologies.
  • describe the regulatory requirements for installing heat pumps and other renewable technologies.
  • be aware of the requirements for handling Fgases
