Who will benefit?
Maintenance engineers who wish to carry out ‘routine maintenance’ on site which entails oil draining or charging Ammonia into systems. Service engineers who are new to Ammonia refrigerant systems and need to understand the different hazards and procedures involved in ‘breaking in’ to NH3 systems.
What will be gained?
Sufficient skills, knowledge and techniques to:
- Prepare and act on a suitable risk assessment
- Adopt safe working procedures to ‘break in’ to NH3 systems in order to charge refrigerant and / or drain oil.
How will it be tested? Each individual will undergo a practical assessment and answer oral questions to satisfy the City and Guilds 2078 assessment specification.
NB: Training and assessment is carried out on site as arranged with the client.
