Who will benefit?
All apprentices and trainees wishing to obtain the industry standard Level 2 underpinning knowledge qualification and who wish to end up with an NVQ.
What will be gained?
Successful candidates will pass the City & Guilds 6127 and as part of the course they will also be assessed for the City & Guilds 2079 F Gas category 1 qualification. Attendance is on a ‘block release’ basis so that students can concentrate on their studies while at the Training Works and is studied over 6 blocks of 2 weeks each (3 blocks in each year). While there will be sufficient practical training to ensure that trainees can carry out installation, service and maintenance tasks safely, the emphasis is on knowledge to ensure swift development of skills.
